Very nice 20 acre placer mining claim on the Middle Fork Feather River. This is a great opportunity to mine a claim in a big river known for good gold including flakes and nuggets. There are many creeks and outcroppings that feed gold into this area above this claim.  Up at the head waters the river cuts through the ancient tertiary river.
There is excellent proven gold in this big river. There are big boulders and bedrock where gold drops out.  A claim upstream found nuggets as large as potatoes. We have sluiced and panned on this claim and captured very nice gold.
The river runs through the claim for approximately 500 feet. Lots of area for panning, sluicing etc... The claim includes a sharp inside turn of the river with a very nice gravel bar as you can see in the pictures. There are also nice out croppings of rock along the river bank which contain quartz veins. Good access to the claim via a walking trail off of the main dirt road. Large size camping area near the river.
Claim is in the Plumas National Forest approximately 40 miles from Oroville, California in the California Mother lode area.
