  • Condition: Works when you stand on scale. Coin op may work but has been made where scale shows weight without needed to add the 1 cent. In my opinion as a collector I would say it is fair condition considering how old it is. I photographed up close pics for serious buyers. I showed pics where u can see front / side / rear ( will need a rear slot to cover mechanism ) in rear... This had minimal rust. Was family owned for over 40 yrs while it was in a local bar in my town in western mass. I bought from bar owner after they decided they would sell it to me m I got the scale to work when it's stood on and it's pretty accurate. Everything from internals to paint to each screw seems original . no reproduction parts from what I have seen. I believe it's prior 1940s . I believe it to be defiantly pre ww2. Thanks for checking out this item! It stands maybe 4 feet tall or so ( maybe more ) and is about roughly 15-20 inches wide.

    Description

    When I say it works I mean that when you step on scale it shows your weight. Mechanism is somehow bypassed,
    but mechanically it appears fairly sound. Style is GREAT. original paint I do believe. A few small rust spots but nothing eaten thru the metal. The top glass has fracture but weight is still readable . the weight ( wheel ) is original. Step plate for scale ORIGINAL- EVERYTHING ORIGINAL. rear hatch door is not there, and that's all there is to it!!
    This for over 35 yrs was at a family owned bar in western Massachusetts. ( Its about 77-87 yrs old )
    - My Conservative opinion is that once this has 100.00 of work ( getting coin op working properly ) - which maybe it already does I may be overlooking a small lever or something not screwed in - in my opinion this will be worth well over 1,200 once it has fully functional coin op. Scale does work and I'd fairly accurate too. Once stepped on-I got scale mechanism working. ( fairly easy system to play with and fix )
    Pay 600 and fix mechanism// I think you'll get a profit out of it-- or use it as it is !! Great Original Paint.
