vintage 15 in Slingerland drums nickel over brass stick chopper parade drum rim

Description

You are looking at a vintage Slingerland 15 inch rim.
Size is for a 15 inch drum.
These were used on big 15 inch tom toms and 12x15 parade or marching drums.
Eight hole rim.
I believe this rim to be from the 1940s, or maybe early 1950s.
Nickel over brass, a magnet does not stick to it.
I placed it up against new plate glass, and it is flat with no tip or wobble.
There are no rust spots showing, brass can't rust.
There is a nick in the top edge of the rim, as shown in one of the photos.
It does have scratches and scuffs in the nickel, due to age, wear and travel.
Just like original parts do.
It has not been steel wooled, so that is good news.
We never use steel wool, and we never recommend it.
And, we left any further cleaning to you.
